Day 1:

Cusco, Capuliyoc, Playa.

We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and leave around 6:00 a.m. heading to Cachora (3100 masl) at approx. 10:00 a.m. There we will load the equipment on horses and it is at this point where we begin our walk along a gently sloping path.

The first day the walk is no more than 5 hours and the temperature at the beginning is around 15 ° C (60F) and at the end of the trip it will be around 25 ° C (77F). On the way you will appreciate enchanting landscapes of the snowy mountains of Padrayoc 5482 m (17980 FASL) and Wayna Cachora. The tour will have a short break in the pass through Capuliyoc 2900 m (9500FASL) from where we will have a panoramic view of the Apurimac Valley. Then we will descend to appreciate the beautiful landscapes of warm climate to the river beach at the bottom of the canyon 1550 m (5080 FASL) there we will have our first camp. (Lunch and dinner included this day).

Day 2:

Crossing the canyon, Choquequirao route.

After enjoying breakfast (5:00 am), we will continue our walk to Choquequirao, going up the slope towards Santa Rosa 2100m (6890FASL), this day being the most difficult of all. Once there we will have lunch, and we will continue until we reach the edge of the canyon, where Maranpata is located at 2850 m (9350FASL), this point being the end of our ascent. Then we will continue walking flat to the Choquequirao camping area, near the ruins. This day the walk does not last more than 6 hours and the temperature at the beginning is around 22 ° C (72F) and at the end of the day it will be around 18 ° C (65F). Day 3:

Choquequirao tour

A day full of spectacular views of the city of Choquequirao.
After enjoying breakfast we headed to Choquequirao to enjoy the sunrise there. The tour through the City could take around 4 hours, as it is a large city full of temples and areas far from each other. On this tour you will always be accompanied by the guide who will correctly illustrate you about this important Inca refuge, the importance of the Apurimac river and the Vilcabamba mountain range. At noon we will return to the camping area to have lunch and continue the walk to the bottom of the canyon and camp on the beach of the Apurimac River. Day 4:

Return to Cusco.

FINISHING THE WALK TO CHOQUEQUIRAO AND RETURNING TO CUSCO.
After breakfast at the bottom of the canyon (06:00 AM), we will return by the same path until we reach the edge of the canyon, and from there it is two more hours in the flat to the town of Cachora. This day the walk becomes much smoother. On the way we will appreciate the exotic flora and fauna of the area, as well as the snow-capped mountains and the impressive Canyon. Finally we will return by car to Cusco, where we will arrive around 12:00 am after a 3-hour tour.
